Seeing the determination in Hakon's eyes, Bragi felt somewhat reassured. He quickly calculated their odds:
"We currently have two thousand defenders in Tyrol. Adding the reinforcements from Golden City that you brought back... Although most of them were lost, with the infantry left behind, we can still scrape together a thousand men fit for battle."
"That gives us nearly three thousand men! And we're the defenders, with the advantage of terrain! Even if their infantry is elite, taking the defenses we painstakingly built will come at a terrible cost! As long as we command them properly and hold out while awaiting reinforcements, there's still hope!"
However, when Hakon heard that Bragi intended to rely on the fortifications and hold the city, obvious hesitation and worry appeared on his face.
He hesitated for a moment, but finally took a deep breath. His voice carried a trace of lingering fear as he warned, "Bragi... holding out... may not be so easy. I... I think I saw something being dragged behind their formation. It was covered with thick canvas. Judging from its outline and the depth of the wheel ruts, it looked a lot like... like gun carriages!"
"Gun carriages? Are you sure!" Bragi's expression changed drastically at those words. He suddenly turned away from the map, his voice rising as his eyes filled with incredulous shock.
"Did you get a clear look? Were they really gun carriages? Not Supply Carts?"
Hakon nodded heavily. Although he could not be one hundred percent certain, that ominous premonition was incredibly strong. "I saw them clearly! They were covered with canvas, but their shape, as well as their heavy appearance—requiring several packhorses to pull them—made them look a lot like the gun carriages we seized from the Goldspur people! My guess is... it's almost certainly artillery!"
