On the main battlefield, the heavy cavalry formations led by Lyon and Thorsten swept forward with unstoppable force, instantly smashing the Sauron Cavalry's loose charging formation into pieces.

Only a few dozen of the most ferocious—or perhaps simply the luckiest—Sauron cavalrymen, relying on their warhorses' momentum and their own valor, managed to pierce the deadly zone where the cavalry clashed and crash into the Carnford infantry formations clearing the battlefield and pursuing the routed soldiers behind them.

The cavalry's sudden incursion caused a brief disturbance.

Some infantrymen who failed to dodge in time were sent flying by the charging horses, their bones and tendons snapping. But the Carnford infantry reacted with extraordinary speed, and the officers immediately roared orders to organize a defense.

The spearmen quickly assembled, and a dense forest of spears rose in an instant. Nearby Swordsmen and Shieldbearers and halberdiers surged forward, using their shields to block the horses and their Tangpas to hook and pull at the horses' legs.

The Sauron cavalrymen who had charged into the formation soon lost their advantage in speed. One after another, they were dragged from their saddles and then hacked to death by infantrymen swarming in from every direction.
