Amamiya Rinon recounted her lonely life after her eccentric mother disappeared, then described surviving the Honkai outbreak in Changkong City. As two monsters battled, Rinon’s understanding of her situation was about to be overturned.

• Amamiya Rinon’s mother claimed Rinon was a destined Great Emperor, then left before Rinon started middle school and stayed away for more than two years.
• Amamiya Rinon realized she had no friends and struggled to connect with people until she met a purple-haired older woman at an arcade.
• Amamiya Rinon saw a zombie, reported it to the police, and fled home when the officers laughed at her.
• The Honkai descended less than an hour later, and Amamiya Rinon survived because a strange wavelength from a supposed divine weapon protected her.
• Two monsters fought in Changkong City and changed Amamiya Rinon’s worldview.

Amamiya Rinon was discovered by Durandal, who recognized the Taixu Divine Sword and took her along to investigate an earthquake. Meanwhile, Yae Sakura awoke after her defeat and met Dong Moxuan, who mistakenly called her Old Eight, the Gourmet.

• After Durandal defeated Yae Sakura, she discovered Amamiya Rinon hiding nearby and asked about the sword Rinon carried.
