  • Candle Dragon told Ao Hai that Di Jun's sons had been killed in the East Sea, forcing the Dragon Clan and Immortal Court into war with the Demon Clan.
  • Candle Dragon ordered Ao Hai to lead the Dragon Clan to the Eye of the East Sea while he alone joined the battle to repay the Dragon Clan's debt to the Immortal Court and avert greater disaster.

  • The five Sages arrived, and Nuwa turned her hateful gaze on them, making them fear her retaliation.

  • Zhunti, Venerable Lord Yuanshi, and Jieyin demanded that Di Jun be punished for the calamity, while the other Sages tacitly agreed.
  • Nuwa turned to Zhou Ming and asked him to safeguard Fuxi’s Primordial Spirit so she could settle her Karma and fight the Sages without attachments.

Ch. 231Practicing the Summoning Technique

Di Jun offered Zhou Ming the River Diagram and Luo Script and the Demon Clan’s Great Formation of the Stars in exchange for help striking at Jieyin and Zhunti. • Di Jun asked Zhou Ming to help Empress Nuwa hold Jieyin and Zhunti back while he destroyed Mount Sumeru.
  • Di Jun revealed that he intended to self-detonate, explaining that he would rather die than face imprisonment or burden Nuwa while she tended Fuxi’s surviving Primordial Spirit.
  • Zhou Ming accepted that Di Jun had chosen his path and reasoned that Mount Sumeru’s destruction could breach the barrier to the Demon Realm and give Nuwa a reason to mend the heavens.
  • Zhou Ming decided that the resulting crisis could let him interfere in the Western Prosperity, dismissing concerns that the Heavenly Dao might be behind events.

Ch. 232Want to Return to the West? Dream On

Zhou Ming gave Di Jun a powerful attack and agreed to hold off the Sages while Di Jun went to destroy Mount Sumeru through self-detonation. Di Jun headed west, leaving the Monster Summoning Banner with Nuwa, while Zhou Ming and Nuwa blocked Jieyin and Zhunti from returning to the West.

Ch. 234Di Jun Self-Detonates

  • Taiqing asked Jieyin and Zhunti what was hidden beneath Mount Sumeru, and Jieyin revealed it sealed an entrance to the Demon Realm.
  • The Three Pure Ones urged Zhou Ming to let Jieyin and Zhunti return, but he refused and overpowered the brothers when they threatened him.
  • Jieyin and Zhunti gave up trying to persuade Zhou Ming and waited for the outcome in the West.
  • A tremendous explosion shook the Primordial Wilderness as Di Jun self-detonated, and Nuwa mourned his death.
  • Zhou Ming told Jieyin and Zhunti they could leave.

Ch. 235Leave a Gap

  • Dijiang brought Zhou Ming an item, and Zhou Ming asked Nuwa to mend the passage while the Three Pure Ones, Jieyin, and Zhunti sealed and purified the area.
  • Zhou Ming formed the Thirteen Heavenly Gods and Fiends Array with the Twelve Ancestor Witches and guarded the gate as Pangu’s True Body.
  • A demon charged through the passage, but Pangu’s True Body erased him and the creatures behind him with a single ax swing, driving the rest back.
  • Nuwa sealed the passage with Five-Colored Divine Stone, but Zhou Ming asked her to leave a gap for demonic energy to seep through.
  • Nuwa pried a piece of stone away, leaving Jieyin and Zhunti to suppress and purify the energy leaking into the West.

Ch. 236Giving the Journey to the West Tribulation a Serious Boost

After Nuwa sealed the gap to the Demon Realm, Zhou Ming took the two Five-Colored Divine Stones and sent his Treasure Distribution Rock to Flower-Fruit Mountain to strengthen the future Spiritual Stone Monkey. • Nuwa gave Zhou Ming the two Five-Colored Divine Stones she had kept as spares.
  • Zhou Ming sent his Treasure Distribution Rock to Flower-Fruit Mountain, intending it to nurture a stronger Spiritual Stone Monkey and bind the monkey to him through Karma.

Ch. 237The Immortal-Monster Era Ends, the Three Pure Ones Go Their Separate Ways

After the Demon Clan and Immortal Court scattered, disputes over Tongtian’s disciples drove the Three Pure Ones to separate and leave Kunlun Mountain. Taiqing and Tongtian departed, leaving Yuanshi alone to claim the mountain.

  • The surviving Demon Clan and Immortal Court chose new paths, with some Demon Clan members joining Tongtian’s Interception Sect, others going to North Nether, and a few joining the Western Teachings.
  • Yuanshi condemned Tongtian’s Demon Clan disciples, and the brothers argued over their different approaches to teaching.
  • Taiqing ended the dispute by announcing he would leave Kunlun Mountain for Shouyang Mountain.
