After Shimizu saved Rasa, Sunagakure’s leadership recognized Shimizu as its leading successor and decided to crush the Daimyo Guardian Corps before the Daimyo’s force could threaten the village. Shimizu led more than a thousand elite ninja to surround the corps, while Rasa and Karura moved to seize control of the capital with Ebizo’s help.

• Rasa thanked Shimizu and Chiyo for saving his life, effectively yielding to Shimizu as Sunagakure’s leading successor.
• Ebizo reported that the Daimyo had gathered hundreds of fighters, including several dangerous missing-nin, into the Daimyo Guardian Corps.
