"What could be strange?" I asked.

"We've come all this way, yet we haven't encountered a single truly vicious Fierce Ghost. That's completely unexpected. The Magic Capital is supposed to be an extremely dangerous and terrifying place," Asuka said.

"Is that so?" I paused in surprise, but my expression remained calm.

"Maybe I'm just overthinking it," Asuka said.

We continued forward, and no one paid her words any mind. I scanned our surroundings, gripping the Demon Blade Muramasa and looking around warily.

Just then, my figure flashed, and the cold Demon Blade was already in motion.

A figure emerged from the darkness. Before it could attack us, I cut it down.

Only then did I realize that the figure was not a Fierce Ghost, but a human.

However, the man seemed to have gone mad. His eyes were bloodshot. After I killed him, his body suddenly burst open, and something seemed to be trying to crawl out.

"What's going on?" I sensed that something was wrong. Just then, his body exploded, and a bizarre monster crawled out from within.

It was an extremely hideous monster covered in tentacles, yet it looked like a sea urchin.

Asuka was equally bewildered and couldn't help asking, "What exactly is that thing?"

"It really is strange," I muttered, my expression utterly indifferent.

The next moment, my figure flashed, and the Demon Blade Muramasa in my hand swept across, killing the monster.

After that, we continued onward, but we saw quite a few people with deranged expressions. Every one of them was utterly insane. They attacked anyone they saw, as if they had completely lost their minds.
