I didn't have time to think, my body lunged forward. My body awkwardly burst through the back door and I fell to the ground.

The woman's arm was inches from me, but she stopped, as if there was an invisible wall of air in front of her.

She stared at me ferociously, her arm repeatedly hitting the air, but she couldn't move forward.

I sat on the ground, panting, looking at her with eyes full of relief.

I knew I was safe. She couldn't leave the abandoned teaching building no matter what. This was an unchangeable rule.

The school uniform girl glared at me venomously and turned to leave.

I collapsed on the ground, and after a long while, I got up and turned to leave.

Just as I returned to school, my phone suddenly rang. Looking at the message on my phone, I sighed, filled with regret.

If only I hadn't gone in back then, things wouldn't have turned out this way.

Chapter 2: Inescapable Misfortune

It all started about a month ago. I had a childhood friend named Li Yuming. His family was very poor, and I had always been helping him.

But he suddenly struck it rich. He kept buying expensive phones and laptops, and he treated us to meals every few days.

Because he had money, he was somewhat respectful to me at first, but later his attitude towards me became cold. So I drifted away from him.

Most of the guys in the class called him "brother" and acted like best friends. He had become a prominent figure in the class.

So, on Song Shuangqing's birthday, he invited the whole class to a fancy hotel for dinner. He even invited a few minor celebrities and prepared a three-tiered cake. The scene was quite luxurious.

This finally won Song Shuangqing over. When I was discharged from the hospital and returned to class, they were already together.

Seeing Li Yuming with Song Shuangqing in his arms, I couldn't hide my anger, but I knew I wasn't a match for him now. Taking advantage of him going out alone, I planned to find a place to beat him up.

So I started following him. But I discovered he seemed to have a secret. He always left the classroom during class time.

I followed him very cautiously.

However, three claw marks were left on my back, and my clothes were torn.

"It hurts so much." I clutched my back, my face unusually shocked.

"Now you're like us. Hurry and find a place to hide. It's coming soon." Li Yuming gave me a deep look and then turned to leave.

The others also turned and left, leaving me alone.

I stood there stunned for a long time. Although I didn't understand what was happening, I chose to find a place to hide.

As I hid in a classroom, I suddenly heard a terrifying scream, as if encountering the most dreadful thing in the world.
