Someone Outside the Window

"Not bad." I glanced at her, my eyes trembling slightly in shock. She had both hands clasped behind her back, her snow-white thighs exposed. She looked just like a girl who had stepped out of a comic, making it impossible to look away.

"Where are you looking?" Lan Lele noticed my expression and glared at me with a faint blush on her pretty face.

"Nowhere." My lips trembled as I said with an awkward chuckle.

"I don't feel like attending class. Come out with me." Lan Lele said.

"Sure." I nodded and was just about to speak.

But then Li Yang walked over. He shot me a disgusted look before turning to Lan Lele. "Get back in line. We're in class."

"Whatever. I'm not interested in class. If you've got the guts, go tell my parents." Lan Lele pulled my arm carelessly and pressed her face against my shoulder. "Let's go."

"Okay." I nodded, glanced at Li Yang, and led her away.

As we walked around the school, Lan Lele suddenly covered her mouth and laughed. "Li Yang must be furious. The whole class knows he's interested in me. Who knows how many girls are jealous of me? And yet you snatched me away."

"What's wrong with me?" I turned to her, feeling somewhat displeased.

Lan Lele pinched her chin and examined me carefully before saying, "How should I put it? You're clearly not handsome, yet you pretend to be cold and aloof. No matter how you look at it, you're not an Ice Mountain Male God. You're more like a big block of wood."

I pretended to be angry and pinched her cheek. "So I disappointed you. In that case, goodbye."

With that, I turned and walked away.

Lan Lele hurried after me and grabbed my arm, looking smug. "Are you angry? Who told you to keep annoying me? You never even coax me. Serves you right."

Seeing her act spoiled, I smiled slightly and felt much more relaxed.

I lowered my voice. "The matter with Han Qianqian will be resolved soon."

"Oh, really?" Lan Lele's eyes lit up, but then her expression dimmed. "But if Han Qianqian is gone, no one will give us money anymore."

"As long as we can stay alive, that's enough." I was quite carefree about it. Although I had experienced a wealthy life, I hadn't lost myself in it.

Chapter 23: Someone Outside the Window

Lan Lele nodded, her expression brightening as well. "Although we have money now, we don't even know whether we'll still be alive tomorrow. I'm truly sick of living like this."

I nodded, my eyes filled with confidence.

She took my hand and looked toward Tiankong, her eyes confused. "Liang Fan, what will you do in the future if Han Qianqian stops hunting us down?"

"Well, I'll study hard and go to college like before." I thought for a moment before answering.

"Have you never thought about doing something else in the future?" Lan Lele looked at me and asked.

"I don't know." I shook my head, speaking in confusion. "I don't know what I'll be able to do in the future either. I originally planned to make an agreement with my girlfriend to attend college in Imperial City together, but now it seems impossible."

"Once this matter is over, I'll just live a proper life."

"That's true. A peaceful life is actually quite nice." Lan Lele held my hand and suddenly lowered her head.

After wandering around with her for a while, Lan Lele suddenly asked curiously how someone like me had managed to win over the class belle.

I hadn't wanted to tell her, but after she pestered me for a long time, I reluctantly did.

It had taken me two whole years to pursue Song Shuangqing. For those two years, I had brought her breakfast every day without fail and cared for her in every possible way. Only after all that effort had I finally won her over.

After hearing this, Lan Lele laughed and called me a simp. I didn't argue, feeling only sadness.

I had worked hard for two years, yet I still couldn't compare with what Li Yuming had accomplished in two weeks.

Lan Lele held my hand and suddenly looked at me. "Hey, if you were pursuing me, would you do the same thing?"

"I have no interest in pursuing you." I looked at her and said.

"Whatever. I'm a great beauty, you know. There are plenty of people who want to pursue me." Lan Lele puffed up her cheeks and glared at me angrily. "If you want to pursue me, get in line!"

"If that's the case, then I'm cutting in line." I suddenly spoke with complete seriousness.

"No, you can't cut in line. That would be unfair to everyone else." Lan Lele argued back.

"I've saved you twice. Won't you repay me with yourself?" I looked at her and asked.

Lan Lele examined me with a serious expression. After a while, she said smugly, "If you were handsome, I'd definitely say, 'I have no way to repay you. I'm willing to devote myself to you to repay my benefactor.'"

"But as for someone like you, I can only tell you this: 'This humble girl has no way to repay you. I'm willing to work like an ox and horse in my next life to repay my benefactor.'"

"Oh, is that so? Then next time, wait for me to repay you in your next life." My face darkened.

"Hehe, I was only joking. I would've died long ago without you, so you can't abandon me." Lan Lele hurriedly begged for mercy. I pinched her chin and said smugly, "Then you'd better serve me well."

But just then, Lan Lele suddenly rose onto her toes and fiercely kissed my lips.

I froze at once. Lan Lele shot me an angry glare and whispered, "That's your repayment. Don't get any ideas."

With that, she turned and ran off. For some reason, watching her, I felt much more excited.

When I returned to the classroom, I told Wu Yong about Lan Lele. His face was full of admiration. "Boss, I've heard about it. You're incredible. She's the most beautiful campus belle since our school was founded."

"Is it really that exaggerated?" I asked in confusion.

"Of course. She's unbelievably beautiful, and her figure is amazing too. She's practically perfect." Wu Yong's face was full of excitement.

"Oh, really? I don't think so." I said as I lay on the desk.

"Boss, you're surrounded by good fortune without realizing it. You've probably already hooked up with her, haven't you?" Wu Yong asked.
