At least in the Dream Realm, he could appear anywhere at any time, silently emerging in a completely sealed space like a moth—not by passing through the door, but by having "already been inside from the very beginning."
Unfortunately, the warriors had already forgotten that the Lord of Scales and Feathers had ever been there.
When the Lord of Scales and Feathers left, he casually stole "themselves from their memories." In their recollections, the Lord of Scales and Feathers had not appeared at the banquet at all, from beginning to end.
Once they had eaten and drunk their fill, the Shadow Angel began selecting tonight's lucky warriors.
Amid the noisy lamentations and congratulations, the three warriors who had dined with her were naturally chosen as tonight's lucky ones.
However, before enjoying the night, the Shadow Angel first sent Iver and Arsene outside the castle.
She stood beneath a tree and placed both Iver and Arsene on its branches. Their heads were now almost exactly level with each other.
Viennes once again returned to her traveling form, becoming a crow and perching on the antlers above Iver's head. The antlers had grown enormous by now, looking almost like tree branches—perfect for a crow to rest on.
While waiting for the Moon Deer, Arsene asked Iver and the Shadow Angel curiously, "What exactly is a Moon Deer?"
It seemed to be some sort of common knowledge in the Dream Realm.
At least when Iver and the Shadow Angel spoke, they acted completely naturally, without
