"Although the curse of vampirism has been lifted, some of them are still pure evil... or had long grown accustomed to ruling over humans and no longer considered themselves part of the same race. These people are perfectly hidden within society. They could very well become sources of instability in the new society by relying on their former social status and influence.
"Even if they might transform into Mist Demons... Mist Demons themselves are still dangerous."
