In the realm where dreams and reality overlapped, Iver gradually regained consciousness.
Even Iver did not know exactly how long he had been asleep. But when he woke again, he felt a familiar scorching heat.
...What is this?
When Iver opened his eyes again, he saw a sun.
It was an enormous, unbearably hot sun.
It was even larger than the sun Iver had seen in the ruins of the Tower to the Heavens. Under normal circumstances, if the sun were the size of an egg yolk, this one would be even larger than a goose egg or an orange.
Under its scorching heat, Iver felt extremely uncomfortable in his skin... because the body he was currently using was exceptionally weak. It did not even possess a mana pool!
Without mana, Iver could barely use any Extraordinary Skills, including the Phantom Demon Card.
After reaching the Fourth Level, Iver had rarely experienced such difficulty adapting to an environment.
Now, having been placed in the body of a mortal, Iver felt an extreme weakness.
If he had to describe it, it was like having his entire body wrapped in plastic wrap and then roasted beneath the sun. After he began sweating, the sweat was sealed inside by the plastic wrap. The heat steaming within him could not escape, creating an indescribably intense feeling of suffocation.
--Yet there was nowhere nearby to hide from the sunlight.
As far as the eye could see, there was only an endless wasteland.
Huge rocks jutted from the ground.
There was no trace of civilization--no repaired roads, no rising cooking smoke, and no human voices. There was not even a single tree nearby. In every direction lay nothing but wilderness.
Iver did not even know where he was supposed to go...
...No, he could not even
