A greasy-haired, disheveled middle-aged man anxiously wiped the sweat from his forehead.
He grabbed a passing blond boy and hurriedly asked, "Have you still not found Paul?"

The boy shouted impatiently.

Just then, a cold, hoarse voice drawled out slowly.
A chill suddenly seeped through the room. Everyone instinctively looked toward the source of the voice.
It was a man who looked as gaunt as a ghostly shadow.
He appeared to be in his forties or fifties, with eyes as deep as a lone wolf crouching in wait for its prey. His back was slightly hunched, and when he appeared at the doorway, he leaned against the surrounding wall. Although he wore a neat suit, it was a size too large, leaving his shoulders unsupported and making him look somewhat slumped. A murky yellow radiance stained the depths of his eyes, giving him a sickly appearance.
He slowly walked in. The others immediately stopped talking and moving, greeting him and bowing:
"Professor Lasimi!"

He fixed his gaze on the disheveled man and walked straight toward him.
The man was startled as well and obediently stood at attention like a student. The blond boy beside him looked terrified too, but did not dare run away. He could only glare angrily at the middle-aged man beside him before lowering his head.
"What do you mean, no?"
After approaching, Professor Lasimi repeated his earlier question in a low voice.
The blond boy answered at lightning speed, "Paul disappeared. Assistant Medel told us to go look for him..."
