Background / History
Iver was born to Julio Alexander, a theological-academy graduate, and Anne Alexander, an Iris noble who abandoned her family name to elope to Avalon. Both were killed by the Iron Hook Demon while protecting Iver; his grandfather was murdered soon afterward. Bishop Mathers placed him in an orphanage supported by Professor James Moriarty, who eventually adopted him. 103
After awakening what he believed were memories of a previous life, Iver remembered working as an HR manager and playing Ouroboros Ring. He recognized the world as the game’s setting, though his knowledge was incomplete because he skipped much of its main story and concentrated on side content, dungeon mechanics, BOSSes, and hidden settings. 3
At the beginning of Avalon’s storyline, Iver was kidnapped by two Demon Scholars—his former pen pals—and taken to an altar as a sacrifice. A passing player disrupted the ritual and saved him. Yulia subsequently became a Phantom Demon and was contracted as Iver’s first Familiar. Learning that Avalon faced a catastrophe within half a year, he resolved to intervene. 3 5
Iver initially framed his foreknowledge as reincarnation, but the Lord of Scales and Feathers later revealed that he was not truly an Earthling named Ai Shiping. He was an abandoned fragment of an Angel: the remains of Reincarnation. 582 Jacob later explained that Iver was formed from the Ring Angel’s Snake Tail, a Reincarnation Angel fragment, and the essence of the Butterfly Angel. 1173
Appearance
Iver is a notably handsome young man with fair skin, white-blond hair, and a deliberately cultivated warmth that others compare to sunlight or a fireplace. His appearance combines Julio’s striking looks with Anne’s gentler features. 253 999
- His eyes have been compared to the blue of Avalon’s lake at night. 54
- His right eye ordinarily lacks normal vision, though it can perceive vitality, souls, Apostles, and residual Path power; Cardinal Galatea later concealed its distinction with illusion. 880
- He publicly used a wheelchair while claiming rehabilitation, allowing him to conceal that he could stand and walk. 94
- As a Child of Light Bearer, he develops jade-like deer antlers; his complete Mythical Form has a human upper body, white deer lower body, burning antler tips, black solar-wheel markings, and crystalline fire-like pupils. 864
- His Child of the Moon disguises can change his apparent sex, race, voice, instincts, and physical abilities. 337
Personality
Iver is observant, calculating, and highly skilled at evaluating people. His former HR work informs his habit of identifying motives, sorting trustworthy allies from opportunists, and making ruthless decisions when necessary. 6 He prefers acting before an opponent can dictate the situation, creating advantages through preparation and deception rather than reacting defensively. 194
He does not consider himself inherently virtuous, but he is willing to spend money, Mana, vitality, or accept personal danger when he is confident that his help will produce results. This is one reason he favors healing roles. 204 His methods often appear cruel or manipulative, yet his intended outcome is frequently protective; conversely, his visibly heroic actions can serve his drive for Transcendence. 409
Iver strongly resists being treated as a tool, hostage, or protected bystander. He seeks the ability to participate directly in dangerous plans and insists on choosing his own pace of growth, even when offered powerful guidance. 657 Over time, he comes to define himself not by a single past life or divine origin, but by the relationships and experiences that shaped him. 944 1117
Abilities & Skills
Sacred Arts and Healing
Iver learned the Illumination Spell rapidly and later mastered Blessing, despite the latter being considered difficult to learn instantly. 24
- Illumination Spell can soothe minds, dispel curses, and heal injuries depending on where Light Mana is applied. 24
- Early use requires light drawn by burning his own life force. 24 204
- As a Child of Light Bearer, he can heal nearly any injury, perform ritual resurrection, and cure Amberization Disease. 862 864
- Healing through his wish-granting Sin Beast power consumes substantial Mana and raises his irreversible conversion rate. Curing Grey required roughly sixty-three Mana. 878
Ritual Magic and Demon Scholarship
Iver is a Ritualist and Demon Scholar whose rapid learning is aided by experience expenditure, game knowledge, and exceptional compatibility with Grimoires. 221 672
- His Demon Scholar training includes Basic Ritual, Demon Contract, Curse, Shepherding (Essence), and Demon Knowledge. 221
- He can devise rituals from scarce or improvised materials, use cursed remains as components, and exploit enemy mechanics in battle. 628
- He used the Book of Law’s trial ritual to offer Wolfram wisdom or annihilation; Wolfram failed and was eradicated. 370
- His ritual expertise extends to creating Tarot Cards from defeated supernatural entities. 359
Great Sin Cards and Phantom Demons
Iver’s signature combat style revolves around Phantom Demon Cards, Great Sin Beasts, and card fusion.
- He can seal Phantom Demons into cards, use them as enhanced equipment, and strengthen Familiars with them. 3
- Yin-Yang Harmonization lets him summon Great Sin Cards without restriction and grants a major boost when his two Paths are balanced. 657
- He can use a field-presence style, concentrating card buffs and fusion effects on a single suited Great Sin Beast rather than repeatedly rotating summons. 418
- He summoned the humanoid Flame Butterfly Lia, whose Flame Stream can melt steel and reach at least fifty meters; her strength is comparable to a Fifth Level Transcendent. 504
Iver’s Book of Law
Iver’s exclusive Great Sin Grimoire stores Tarot Cards and expands their tactical potential. 364 365
- Its Colorless Mana increases with each distinct logged Phantom Demon Card.
- It extends Iver’s and logged cards’ spell range by thirty meters. 364
- At five logged cards, it could burn one card per day to reset Phantom Demon Card cooldowns. 365
- It contains the complete Ouroboros Ring Ritual and knowledge of five ritual spells, including Undead Resurrection. 365
Mirror Disguise and Child of the Moon Forms
Iver’s Golden Entry permits an undetectable racial transformation through mirrors. 341 343
- He can copy the racial traits, innate spells, and physical characteristics of corresponding forms, including No. 14 and Bayard’s Child of the Moon forms. 343
- The disguise cannot be detected or dispelled, including by Law Spells. 341
- It breaks when he takes damage exceeding half his maximum health or suffers blunt-force trauma. 341
- Child of the Moon forms grant bat transformation, Charm, blood-based vitality, weaponized body transformation, and Gaze of Fear. 337
- The form also imposes predatory instincts, including an urge to drink blood, which Iver consciously suppresses. 337
Dawn Fire
The Morning Crow Grimoire granted Iver the painful but potent Dawn Fire skill. 253
- It burns Iver’s body while rapidly healing and strengthening him.
- It can restore his skin, eyes, hair, and physical condition after the flames are extinguished. 253
- Its power comes at the cost of intense pain and life-force depletion. 253
Offensive Magic and Martial Skill
Iver combines card magic, sacred power, ritual casting, and inherited combat techniques.
- Land of Paradise Light gives him scalable mid-to-long-range Light and Fire attacks; its associated domain suppresses creatures lacking Love or Transcendence and grants allied racial benefits. 709
- His Magic Bullet can pursue targets while he writes Prayers in mid-air. 1068
- A short spear given by Merlin can manifest as a shape-changing Light Sword. 955
- The Wild Hunt inheritance gave him three centuries of martial memory and the skills Destruction Charge, Necromantic Charge, Storm Strike, and Thunder Fury. 638
- He can use Lost Paradise through Iver of Dawn, automatically inflicting heavy damage when the summon enters the field or a new enemy appears. 1319
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Holy Sword / Rhongomyniad — a cursed holy weapon once sealed inside a dark crimson key; Iver used it to grievously injure a Deformed Limb Demon and later against the Giantess. 94 138
- Iver’s Book of Law — Deep Purple Great Sin Grimoire and his exclusive weapon. 364
- Demon Hunter +3 — five-round 9mm revolver with enhanced damage against demons, spirits, and evil casters. 243
- Morning Crow Grimoire — source of Dawn Fire. 253

- Short Spear — Merlin’s gift, later awakened into a mutable Light Sword. 955
Relationships
- Yulia Moriarty — Adoptive sister, first Familiar, and later revealed half-sibling created through Jacob’s Swamp People technology. Iver’s desire to save her drives many of his decisions; she accepts his otherworldly memories and identity without reservation. 3 944 1173
- Lily — His maid, shadow, and close confidante. She supports his public deceptions, tends to him during transformations, and silently provides intelligence; Iver seeks help to protect her from becoming the Gray Angel’s vessel. 94 515 681
- Princess/Queen Isabel — Political student, confidante, and intimate partner. Iver trains her in politics, protects her from threats, and she has repeatedly used her Puppet Mask to act under his identity. 397 520 973
- Sherlock — Friend, investigator, and frequent partner in deduction and combat. Sherlock challenges Iver’s methods but trusts his judgment and is often the first to witness his new powers. 60 343 504
- Bishop Mathers — Mentor and early protector who taught Iver Sacred Arts, revealed his parentage, and regretted not adopting him. 24 103
- Professor James Moriarty — Adoptive father whose intentions remain threatening and ambiguous. Iver eventually learns that Moriarty was responsible for his biological parents’ deaths and may have sought to steal his power. 601 597
- Jacob Alexander — Grandfather and creator figure who reveals Iver’s artificial divine origin and expresses genuine affection for him. 1172 1173
- Lord of Scales and Feathers — Pillar God and Iver’s first Advanced Divine Arts contractor. Their relationship is framed as a cooperative partnership rather than subordination. 581
- Aleister — Iver’s Transcendence persona and a powerful Phantom Demon ally. Aleister later becomes a Perfect Being with a custom Child of the Moon authority and a Desire Domain. 124 1147
- Grey / Pure White Saintess — Theocracy ally who recognizes Iver as a Child of Light Bearer. Iver secretly cures her Amberization and entrusts her with the Most Holy Crown. 876 878
