At the Spirit Tower, the students had held many discussions about Avalon's new Queen.

In the end, the students generally agreed that she was a ruthless, vicious, decisive, iron-blooded, and highly aggressive monarch... utterly unlike the previous Queen.

When they slept in their dormitories, they could even hear the Griffins' piercing howls as they flew past outside. Thunder would follow, then the power would go out—by now, the Necromancy Academy had long since begun using electric lights and telephones as well.

It was only because the Griffins did not attack civilians that the Stibnite people were still able to carry on production and daily life normally.
