Legend had it that if a Fifth-Level Child of the Moon became a Fifth-Level Demon Avatar, they would ascend to the Sixth Level and become an unsurpassable Perfected One!

Another legend claimed that the sacred blood of the Eternal Saintess might also allow a Child of the Moon to ascend to the Sixth Level.

The former always struck him as some kind of paradox—the "Demon Avatar" created upon advancing to the Fourth Level through the Path of Transcendence was, in essence, a new demon gestating inside one's body; the Child of the Moon was likewise a new life gestated from a soul of the past.

If a Demon Avatar were gestated by a Child of the Moon... Leaving aside whether it could even be gestated, even if it were, would that final "Perfected One" still be the Child of the Moon or Demon Scholar of the past? As for the latter, it seemed somewhat inconceivable to him. Compared with the power of the Sixth Level, the required material—"the Eternal Saintess's blood"—seemed far too simple. He could not believe that obtaining the Saintess's blood alone could create a Perfected One.
