King of Terror Descends from the Heavens

After Aleister had eaten and drunk her fill, Inspector Weber intended to escort this frightening young lady home.

--After all, given Aleister's identity, if something happened after she left his side... once the blame was investigated, he would be in serious trouble.

He could never shoulder this responsibility. Not only could he not bear it—even if his superior and his superior's superior were dragged into it, they still wouldn't be enough to fill the pit...

At his age, stability was the priority.

To prevent anything from happening along the way, Inspector Weber had even called the bureau to send a car and driver, then settled Aleister inside.

Aleister curled up in the back seat with narrowed eyes, making intermittent small talk with Inspector Weber, who was sitting beside her.

"They say that in July 1999, a King of Terror will descend from the heavens... I didn't remember the rest. Anyway, it says that a god will rule the world in the name of happiness. Last month, some places in Camelot were pretty chaotic, and quite a few people even prepared for disaster relief."

"...What does ruling the world in the name of happiness have to do with the end of the world?"

Aleister looked confused. "Isn't happiness a good thing? If someone is going to rule the world, doesn't that mean the world will continue?"

"Who knows? Whatever. Those Demon Worshippers have been going crazy for more than a year or two. Anyway, July has already passed."

Inspector Weber laughed lightly.
