The one who ultimately killed Iver was his adoptive father's brought-in elder brother, Edward. Under the guidance of his adoptive father James, he fused with the Dragon Heart of the "Calamity Demon Dragon," wielded the corrupted broken holy sword "Sword in the Stone," and then absorbed three Angel Shards. By that point, he had completely exceeded the strength limit that this world could contain. Even the Pillar Gods could not directly attack him in the Material Realm!
Thus, in order to oppose Moriarty, the Pillar Gods gave their divine artifacts to the players one after another.
And under such circumstances, opposing Edward was still extremely difficult.

Even the strength of the lower-realm Angels was inferior to Edward's, whose power had been piled up. That was probably why, when one approached the world limit, the Hourglass began to impose restrictions. The Angels' own power was suppressed, while Edward, who was not even max-level, could instead unleash miraculous power beyond the limit!
