His body had lost all its radiance and shattered into fragments, each smaller than a fingernail. Even so, a final thread of life still remained within him--
--because at that moment, the Fallen Angel had turned into a "treasure chest."
With the Fallen Angel's death, the Ouroboros Ring Ritual was fully completed.
Purple runes that had been hidden earlier appeared throughout Star Antimony. They then turned to dust and scattered into the air.
The territory of the deep-purple demon nation rapidly contracted--from the vast expanse covering all of Star Antimony, it continually shrank inward.
When that tangible purple domain spread over the demons, they all turned to powder and vanished, no matter what they were doing, what state they were in, or where they were...
All the demons were banished back to the Dream Realm.
"--Do you have any last words?"
The domain continued shrinking at high speed. At that moment, Iver flew before the Fallen Angel and asked softly, "If you die during the Ouroboros Ring Ritual, you probably won't return to the Dream Realm to revive. In other words, this may be true death."
Of course, that wasn't actually the case, but it wasn't far off. He simply wanted to hear what sincere words the Fallen Angel would leave behind. The ritual would release all his power, so even if he were reborn, it would only be far in the future... long after the point of the "Apocalypse."

As the Fallen Angel slightly opened his mouth, his body collapsed like clumped soil, bursting into dust and smoke.
"...Snake..."
He stared fixedly at Iver and slowly uttered a single syllable.
"Wrong."
