Once the Spirit Tower flew to Avalon and, according to their previous agreement, landed at Eagle Cape Village, Iver immediately came over from Glass Island.
On his way to Eagle Cape Village, Iver greeted the friends and elders he had met the previous year and told them that the Spirit Tower was about to land nearby.
It seemed that his last visit to Eagle Cape Village had already been a year ago. Yet everyone still remembered Iver.
After all, he was a rare big shot in this little village. Even so, the villagers were neither afraid of nor obsequious toward Iver—they treated him like the child of an acquaintance, with a friendly and natural attitude. Iver found it quite pleasant.
It felt a lot like returning home for a rare visit during a holiday after going away to college and greeting the friendly neighbors.
Although this was not Iver's home, it gave him the illusion that he had "come home."
Perhaps because they saw the Wild Hunt every day, the residents of Eagle Cape Village were extremely calm about the undead and highly accepting of them. When they heard that necromancers were going to settle nearby, they did not show the slightest bit of fear. Instead, they were quite curious. As for hearing that a group of young men and women would probably be frequent visitors to Eagle Cape Village in the future, everyone in the village was delighted.
It was rare to encounter people from the world of the living here—even though these living people did not seem entirely alive either, they were still better than having the Wild Hunt drop by.
After speaking with the villagers, Iver finally went to visit the Spirit Tower.
