With the help of the old butler, Oswald, they quickly packed the things Yulia wanted to bring.
This wasn't merely a trip to school. Essentially, it counted as moving house—the Moriarty Manor clearly wouldn't be safe enough before Oswald returned. So, after Iver persuaded her, Yulia brought along everything she wanted to take.
But unlike other young ladies of her station, Yulia didn't bring many clothes or pieces of jewelry.
What truly took up space were her toolkits and boxes of materials. Iver hadn't even let her bring many books. The library at Royal Law University was the largest in Avalon. Even Professor Moriarty's private collection was inferior to the quality of the restricted section in the university library.
Yulia only brought a few specialized research books on advanced alchemy, along with several sets of notes related to university subjects.
Fortunately, Yulia had organized her books by category as she read. She easily found the notes she had taken while studying university subjects on her own. She brought all her notes from her first through third years—ten thick volumes in total. Stacked together, they were taller than her calf.
To help Yulia "move house," Oswald came along as well.
After recovering her health, Yulia was visibly full of energy—or rather, too excited to sit still. She was like an elementary school student before a spring outing, chattering nonstop in the carriage.
The difference was that Yulia's chatter was quite substantial. She and Iver talked about Extraordinary Profession planning and the Promotion Ritual, then moved on to the Dream Realm, astrology, and tarot. She even regretted not bringing her astronomical telescope. After that, they went from alchemy to the elixir of immortality and plant breeding, then to Avalon's land policies and economic taxation.
Only someone as knowledgeable as Iver could keep
