There were four Demon Scholars—two Third Levels and two Second Levels. They were bringing two Demon Dogs, one Lash Demon, and one Blade Demon.
That lineup... could only be described as classic.
The Lash Demon was a standard demon species, also known by players as the "Overseer." It was essentially a BUFF machine for demons, constantly applying all kinds of enhancements to every demon nearby, but it was also extremely fragile. Normally, it was protected by spellcasting demons.
The Demon Dog was the second boss originally intended for the Pelican Bar dungeon. It was an artificial demon created by Demon Scholars. Its strength was only around the Second Level, and its advantages were its high attack frequency, strong desire to attack, and complete disregard for its own life in battle. It was best to kill the Demon Dog instantly at the start. Otherwise, once it latched onto someone, it would be a huge nuisance.
The only somewhat difficult one to deal with was the Blade Demon.
It was also a purely melee demon, with none of the flashy teleportation abilities. It had no control skills or ranged attacks, either. It was simply extremely fast and highly skilled in martial arts—the Blade Demon was the kind of demon created from villains who had been obsessed with swordsmanship, killed people recklessly to test their blades, challenged the strong, and cruelly slain them after death.
