Fairy Hole was, in essence, what sustained the existence of the Fairy Kingdom.
Although fairies were beings of the Path, they did not want to live in the Dream Realm. Instead, they preferred living near other intelligent life.
Just as Supernaturalists described fairies—as "our kind neighbors." Fairies always liked being neighbors with other creatures.
But they were also incredibly willful... Fairies liked bothering others, yet hated being bothered. Like an ill-behaved pet cat: it could come looking for you, but you were not allowed to go looking for it.
Thus, fairies usually lived in the Fairy Kingdom.
This was an illusory kingdom in the gap between reality and the Dream Realm, shaped by the fairies' incredible power to make their wishes come true. One passage connected to the dream domain of the Path of Beauty, while six others—Light, Dark, Wind, Earth, Water, and Fire—connected to six regions of the Material Realm, maintaining the elemental balance of the Fairy Kingdom.
These six passages could be changed, but generally had to be established in areas rich in the corresponding elemental power.
Iver knew the locations of the Wind, Water, Light, and Dark Attribute Fairy Holes. Three of them had become dungeons.
Fairy-type dungeons were quite fun in a certain sense. Since fairies were not afraid of death, their dungeon mechanics were like playing a game... In fact, they really were just fooling around.
For example, players might have to stand on different squares, each with a different color, then land on the designated square when the spinner stopped. Otherwise, a tornado would send them straight into the air before dropping them down to nearly their deaths;
Or they might surf through a facility like a whitewater ride while moving left and right to dodge dangerous obstacles, or jump upward layer by layer
