The Succubus's Trap
"What are you looking at?"
Seeing Isabel suddenly open the window and look back, Emma asked curiously, though with a hint of caution.
"There's a girl selling flowers. She's so pitiful..."
Isabel turned back as if nothing had happened, her brows tightly furrowed. "If not for the Candle Holder Festival, she might freeze to death."
"Who cares?"
Emma said casually with a smile. "She's just a commoner."
"Commoners are important too," Isabel said seriously. "They're people too!"
Emma glanced at the apparently angry "Yulia" in surprise, suddenly coming to a realization.
As expected of Heracles...
Even though she had never received a monarch's education, she was born with the bearing of a true queen.
That Queen Isabel probably wouldn't have been any better suited to rule than "Yulia."
There was nothing to be done about it.
Emma was letting her hatred spill over... Even now, she still held a grudge against the crow on Iver's shoulder that had ruined her plans, as well as the person controlling it from behind the scenes.
If it hadn't interfered, Iver would already have become part of her collection when they met.
Apart from the instant she used the Eye of Suggestion to plant the mark, Emma hadn't used any active Extraordinary Ability at all. It was her habit—for an Extraordinary Being skilled in mental manipulation like her, leaving no trace was the most important form of control. If she left behind a trace that could be tracked, that meant a flaw had appeared.
Subtle guidance without leaving a trace was superior to mental manipulation that left traces behind.
At present, she was controlling others solely through her own aura. She hadn't altered the other person's nature or personality at all; she had merely inserted herself at the very top of
