Iver was not surprised that Isabel had come looking for him.

Isabel had always longed for a true friend, but whether it was the curse that could flare up at any time, her status and position, or her own personality flaws, all of it made that very difficult.

Others either did not dare approach her or did not know how to approach her. The few who dared to defy the curse and force their way close to Isabel were, for the most part, people with ulterior motives.

Extraordinaries with an affinity for the Path of Beauty were bound to have exceptionally strong spiritual awareness and perception. They were the kind of people who could faintly sense others' attitudes toward them and the beauty in the details of all things even before they set foot on the path.

There was no particular reason for it, nor was it some kind of learning or technique. It relied purely on an indescribable, inexplicable "intuition."

Those who tried to take advantage of Isabel's melancholy and loneliness to approach her for some purpose would be exposed by her with ease. Even if their disguises and acting were strong enough to fool her intuition, she still had Teacher Yanis as an adviser.

And Iver, who had already earned Yanis's approval, had effectively passed the character assessment. Thanks to what they had experienced in their dreams, as well as the pleasant conversation they had shared over that meal, Isabel no longer felt nervous around Iver.

In other words, Iver was now the only friend Isabel could interact with normally.

Whether she wanted to show off her friend to others, demonstrate that "I have friends too," or simply find Iver to play with... Isabel was sure to come.

Compared with Iver, Isabel was more like the "transfer student."
