Fugaku Uchiha felt as if the sky had fallen.
It all began yesterday during the day. His wife, Mikoto, had unusually solemnly asked him to help keep people away today because she and their daughter, Satsuki, would be doing some "very important and private studying." No matter what happened, even if Uzumaki Naruto came looking for Satsuki, Fugaku had to turn him away and not let anyone disturb them.
At the time, Fugaku had even felt a faint sense of relief—finally! It meant that Satsuki's obsessive dependence on Naruto might be developing in a healthier, more independent direction! Fugaku was immensely satisfied with Mikoto's educational results and felt that the family might finally regain some normal balance in their father-daughter interactions.
However, his satisfaction at seeing his daughter grow up was utterly shattered late that night by an excessively cheerful knock on the door.
The visitor was Kushina Uzumaki. She wore a brilliantly excited smile, with that Blue Great Dog beside her.
What confused Fugaku even more was that Mikoto was not at all surprised by Kushina's sudden visit at such an hour. Instead, she went up to greet her with the same nervous, shy, yet barely concealed excitement.
The two women quickly huddled together and began a conversation Fugaku could not possibly join.
"How was it, Kushina? Did everything go smoothly?" Mikoto gripped Kushina's hand, uncertain whether she was more nervous or expectant.
"Mhm, mhm, mhm! Super smoothly! They were just too adorable! I saw it with my own eyes!" Kushina's voice came out slightly warped from the effort
