Chapter Summaries

Shisui Uchiha and Uchiha Satsuki joined Menma’s side as the two groups faced off at sea. Shisui’s Mangekyō genjutsu left Hidan vulnerable, and the opposing fighters captured him in a water prison, giving the Akatsuki an early loss.

• Uchiha Satsuki struck the Chimera Beast with Kirin, killing it and telling Shisui Uchiha to stay out of her way.
• Zabuza Momochi confronted Juzo Biwa and said he wanted to learn who had manipulated events in the Mist Village.
• Hiru searched for Orochimaru and then fixed his attention on the Mangekyō Sharingan wielders, while Kakuzu assessed the opponents and Hidan tried to preach about Jashin.
• Shisui Uchiha’s Mangekyō genjutsu caught Hidan, and Kakuzu severed Hidan’s right arm and left leg with a Wind Release attack.
