Naruto fixed his gaze on it. The mask in Kakashi's hand had a blue face and sharp fangs, radiating waves of ominous energy.
If he was right, it was the Shinigami Mask he had been searching for days. He had originally thought the mask had been taken by the Third Hokage or Jiraiya, but he never expected it to be in Kakashi's hands.
At that thought, Naruto put away his playful smile and said seriously, "I am indeed looking for that mask. What do you want from me? Information on the Akatsuki and the Masked Man? Or a promise that I won't attack Konoha Village?"

After weighing it over, Kakashi directly tossed the Shinigami Mask to Naruto. Shaking his head, he said, "I originally wanted to get something out of you, but after thinking it over, forget it. This was yours to begin with."

After catching the mask, Naruto stared expressionlessly at Kakashi, his tone carrying a trace of regret.
Kakashi had voluntarily handed over the mask, so Naruto had one less reason to ambush him. And Kakashi was proficient in the Flying Thunder God Technique. With one misstep, they might not be so amicable the next time they met.
Spinning the Shinigami Mask around his fingers, Naruto continued, "Kakashi, you should know what I'll use this mask for after obtaining it, right?"
Kakashi neither confirmed nor denied it, merely nodding lightly.
