The next morning.
After placing a bounty on the Uchiha in the black market, Orochimaru sought out one of its information brokers to purchase intelligence on the Land of Whirlpools. To his surprise, he ran into Sasori of the Red Sands, who was also there to buy information.
Sensing familiar Chakra, Sasori of the Red Sands turned and fixed Orochimaru with a stare, frowning.
His attempt to mislead Orochimaru had failed. His interest in the Sharingan had still been discovered, and the atmosphere immediately became somewhat awkward.
Orochimaru glanced Sasori over and chuckled. "Sasori, you're not here to buy intelligence on the Land of Whirlpools, are you? After all, the Sharingan isn't of much value to you."
Mocked so bluntly, Sasori's expression darkened as he manipulated Hiruko, making it stir restlessly.
The tense atmosphere made the information broker break out in a cold sweat. He hurriedly said, "My lords, I'll give this information to the two of you for free. Please calm down first."
If they had been ordinary rogue ninja, the information broker naturally would never have given them intelligence for free.
But one was Orochimaru, one of the Sannin, while the other was at least his equal in strength. He was terrified of being caught in their battle and dying for no reason.
Orochimaru glanced at the information broker and said with a smile, "I've always been a ninja with principles. Here is the money for the intelligence. Would you like to count it?"
