The elevator ran smoothly, with no further problems along the way. It soon reached the Fourth Floor.
"Ding-dong—"
The elevator doors opened, revealing a bright yet profound corridor.
The corridor was extremely long, stretching all the way to the end of Jiang Qiao's vision without reaching its end. He had no idea how such a small hotel could be so vast. Perhaps this was what made it supernatural.
After stepping out of the elevator, Jiang Qiao looked left, then right.
Although the lights were on everywhere, an inexplicable chill had already enveloped him before he realized it.
The rooms on both sides of the passage had their doors tightly shut, giving off an inexplicable sense of danger, as if vicious ghosts were hiding inside.
"So this is the Fourth Floor?"
"My room is number 444. I thought there wouldn't be many rooms on this floor."

It had been in Ancient Well Village in the underworld. The carpet on one of the floors in that sacrificial Haunted house building had felt exactly like this—almost identical. He had no idea whether both carpets had come from the same craftsman.
