A three-story Wooden House.
It looked somewhat like the ancestral halls of powerful families from the Old era.
A red lantern, seen on the Sixth Floor of the hotel, hung from the mast by the entrance. Its light flickered erratically, stretching Jiang Qiao and Ye Fei's shadows long.
"We've finally arrived."
Jiang Qiao glanced around.
At least from the outside, he didn't see anything strange. Moss had already grown over the tightly shut doors, making it seem as though they hadn't been opened in a long time.
However.
The truth was that just a few hours ago, Vicious Ghosts had carried a Wooden Box inside.
"Since we're already here, let's go in and take a look."
He didn't linger.
He reached out and gently pushed. One of the doors immediately opened a crack, revealing the scene inside.
This really was just an ordinary Buddhist Hall.
Oil lamps for lighting stood on both sides, while an offering table sat in the middle. There were no offerings on it, though—only a rust-covered incense burner.
And on the wall in front of the offering table hung a hand-drawn divine portrait...
It depicted an old man.
He wore a red Official uniform and a mandarin hat, with a benevolent smile on his face.
Apart from the portrait, however, there was no other information related to any deity, so they couldn't determine its identity.
"Vicious Ghosts carried a Wooden Box inside earlier. I wonder if they've left."
"That box was taken out of the hotel. For it to attract the interest of a Supernatural place, there must be something important inside."
Jiang Qiao observed carefully.
He didn't immediately push the door open and enter.
Ye Fei stood beside him, also spotting the enshrined divine portrait at a glance.
She felt somewhat uneasy.
