Along the way, he casually dealt with several supernatural events.
Almost every evil spirit seemed to have countless ties to the Red Moon Restaurant.
There was an old man selling vegetables from baskets hung from a carrying pole. His lotus roots looked as though they still had dirt on them, but a closer look revealed that they were actually tiny infant hands joined end to end.
The supposed joints in the lotus roots were the creases on those chubby little hands.
There was also an old lady cleaning the roadside with a mop. The mop was somewhat old-fashioned and clearly meant for indoor cleaning, utterly unsuitable for sweeping streets.
The old lady paid that no mind.
She diligently mopped as she went, leaving the road so wet that anyone stepping on it could easily slip and fall.
Occasionally, she used too much force.
The mop would flip over, revealing a despairing human face.
As it turned out...
The mop head wasn't made of ordinary cotton fibers at all, but a thick mass of hair.
It was both a mop head and a human head!
Of course.
Even the trash cans on the street had become exceedingly strange.
From the outside, each was just an ordinary trash can, filled with all sorts of garbage that no one would come to collect, giving off waves of foul stench.

If you moved just a little closer...
You would immediately discover a thick layer of fleshy folds growing inside the trash
