"Who?"
The sudden voice startled the two men into jumping up, their expressions changing dramatically.
"Who are you?"
"How did you get in?"
The young man flipped his palm, gripped a pistol, and pointed it at Jiang Qiao. The middle-aged man was no slower to react. He turned to face Jiang Qiao, and a bone-chilling coldness immediately spilled from his body.
"Don't be nervous."
Facing the two wary men, Jiang Qiao was completely unfazed.
He walked over to the sofa and sat down.
"Oh?"
"Two grown men drinking wine in a room together. How romantic."
There was a bottle of wine on the table.
And two wine glasses.
The supernatural disturbances outside were so severe, yet these two were living quite comfortably here. They ought to be arrested and shot immediately.
"You're the one who killed He Qun and Ma Li?"
The middle-aged man's gaze was gloomy.
"Probably."
Jiang Qiao nodded.
"I did kill two Evolvers, a man and a woman. They were both Sixth Tier. If that's who you're talking about."
As he spoke,
he looked around.
"Your place is pretty hard to find."
"People say that pulling one thread unravels the whole mystery, but your thread twists and turns, and several strands are broken in the middle. The melon at the end is also all unripe."
"You two aren't very strong."
"But you've certainly studied the art of hiding yourselves."
Earlier, Jiang Qiao had followed the ordinary person who released the Ghost Slave the whole way. He had thought the man would report back after completing his mission, but the fellow had gone straight home and gone to sleep!
The man seemed to have been drunk before.
There was no helping it.
Jiang Qiao could only use some special methods to make him tell the truth after drinking.
