Yu Xin's emotions were stable.
After a brief pause, they confirmed that their conditions were normal and continued diving downward.
The pressure of the seawater kept rising. Yu Xin felt as though he was wrapped inside an airtight high-pressure chamber, and the immense pressure made him feel slightly stifled.
If it had been an ordinary person.
They would probably already have been crushed into a lump of flesh.
Fortunately, he was an Awakened. Even at this depth, as long as he did not encounter a Supernatural Event, he could still endure it.
Only.
He was in the Nether Sea.
And this was an ocean trench more than five thousand meters below the surface. One of his feet was basically already in the coffin.
Here.
Anything could happen.
The odds of encountering a Supernatural Event were greater than the odds of surviving.
5,500 meters.
6,000 meters.
7,000 meters.
Just as Yu Xin felt the changing water pressure begin to bind his entire body, he finally saw a small lamp below. Its faint glow was insignificant in the pitch-black ocean.
But it meant they were close to reaching the ruins.
They continued diving.
The light around them grew more numerous and brighter. Dozens of lamps gathered together could illuminate an area about one meter across. In this vast seabed, that range of illumination was not particularly useful.
But seeing the light.
The three of them suddenly felt reassured.
"Report your status."
When his feet touched solid ground on the "floor" beneath the lamps, Yu Xin discovered that it seemed to be made of metal. He could not tell exactly what it was, but his instincts told him it was the top of some kind of steel structure.
"Number Two, received."
"All clear."
"Number Three, received. All clear."
