All right.
There was nothing deep about it, really, because the Nether Sea was always this shitty. Night just meant going from very dark to even darker. But that did nothing to hinder Jiang Qiao's vision.
Bo Xia had already returned to the cave, but Jiang Qiao had not gone back through the door.
He followed the beach inland.
He had already explored this so-called Nether Sea Shore. It was nothing more than a large island.
Not all that large, really.
It probably covered a hundred or so square kilometers.
Beyond the beach stood low hills studded with jagged rocks. A climb of a few dozen meters brought him to the top, followed by a descent into the island's interior. There was nothing special inside, either, just sandy ground and a grove of long-dead trees.

If you asked why trees existed in a place like this, and why their remains lingered after they died...

Apart from that, though, there was nothing strange or dangerous here.

Put yourself in his shoes.
You had spent who knew how many years on an island like this, surrounded by the sea, without so much as a ghost in sight. Then someone in perfectly intact clothes suddenly appeared. What would you think?
Bo Xia might not have been quite right in the head, but there was nothing wrong with his suspicions.
The Nether Sea was terrifying.
