"Phew—"
"Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle—!"
The moment he entered the cave.
Jiang Qiao immediately realized something was wrong, because the crying by his ears had turned into a string of bubbling sounds. He looked at Bo Xia, only to find Bo Xia trembling violently, hiding in the corner with his head in his arms.
"Hey!"
"What is this thing?"
he asked.
Bo Xia said nothing. His face was filled with terror, and he even tried to squeeze himself farther into the crack in the wall.
"Talk."
Jiang Qiao walked over.
He tried to pull him up, but Bo Xia suddenly let out a loud "Ah—!" and turned around, burying his head in the crack with his back to Jiang Qiao. He looked utterly terrified.
"What the hell?"
Realizing that something was wrong, Jiang Qiao no longer dared touch Bo Xia.
"He's this scared?"
"Could the evil spirit be that terrifying?"
"That shouldn't be."
"Isn't he even capable of killing a Half-God?"
Jiang Qiao was both wary and puzzled. Surely the thing coming here couldn't be more frightening than a Half-God?
A deity?
That was unlikely.
Whether it was the crying or the bubbling sound now.
The feeling it gave him was completely different from that of a deity. Even that faint sense of threat was weaker than that of an ordinary Half-God.
"Could his senses have been deceived?"
As he pondered this.
Suddenly.
A Shadow Figure flashed past the cave entrance at incredible speed.
"Hm?"

The door had silently opened on its own.
He had not noticed it at all.
"Gurgle, gurgle!"
The sound of bubbling water approached from far away, appearing outside the entrance. It sounded as if a body of water had appeared outside, with something rising from within it.
