Old Lin, who had been walking behind him, was now facing away and heading toward a room. The door was half open, and half of a corpse lay sprawled there. Its clothes were tattered, its body deathly pale, and its hair hung loose.
The female corpse lifted its head, revealing half of a rotten face.
The face looked as though it had been smashed with a hammer and caved in. Combined with its severe decay, it looked sickeningly disgusting.
But what sent the greatest chill down his spine
was that hollow, irregular black hole of an eye socket.
There was no eyeball inside anymore, only a deep darkness. It stared at Old Lin with a strange numbness and dead silence.
Old Lin looked as though he had turned into a Puppet Person.
He showed no reaction to the female ghost. With slow, mechanical steps, he continued walking toward it.

How could there be a female corpse?

It's a female ghost!
Xiao Zhu was utterly terrified and instinctively tried to shout.

that he couldn't open his mouth!
It wasn't just his mouth. His neck, torso, hands, feet... his entire body had become stiff and rigid, as though molten iron had been poured over him. He couldn't move at all.
