"You've got me interested now."
"How were you being watched?"
The Skinny Pole seemed especially interested in this sort of thing. As soon as the Black-Faced Man brought it up, he chimed in and pressed for more.
"I'm telling you."
"I always feel like it's not a good idea to talk about this stuff so late at night."
The Fatty looked uneasy.
"What's wrong with it?"
"It happened, so why can't we talk about it? Would it stop existing just because we don't?"
The Skinny Pole shot back at him.
He turned to the Black-Faced Man and put on a smile again, his face full of anticipation. "Ignore him. He's got all that meat on him for nothing—he's as timid as a mouse. I don't know who he learned that from."
"Keep talking about your cousin. How did he put it?"
