"What's going on?"
"What is this?"
The moment Blue Eyes opened, Jin Shanba discovered that he could no longer move.
The feeling was deeply bizarre.
It was not as simple as being bound or suppressed by some supernatural force. Rather, it was as though the very concept of "movement" had been taken from him.
He clearly wanted to raise his hand.
He could even feel the muscles in his arm tightening.
Yet his hand did not move.
At the final instant before the "movement" was completed, it was as if he had forgotten how to raise his hand.
He clearly wanted to step back.
His ankles also felt the pressure of his center of gravity shifting, yet his feet did not move. The commands sent by his brain vanished like stones sinking into the sea, as though some incomprehensible barrier had been inserted between his body and consciousness.
Then he saw what lay deep within those eyes.
A layer of Gray Light was hidden within every blue eye.
The Gray Light was faint, like thin mist on a winter morning, yet it made his heart clench violently.
He could not understand what it was.
But some instinct born from the supernatural within his body told him—
Those Gray Lights only needed to brighten by the slightest bit.
And he would vanish from this world.
Erased completely!
"What kind of supernatural force is this... How can something like this exist?" Jin Shanba's pupils contracted sharply.
He had fought for many years.
He had killed people, and he had killed ghosts.
He had operated in the Icefield for twenty years.
He considered himself highly experienced with supernatural phenomena and had seen countless strange and bizarre evil entities.
But now...
He realized that he could not understand the other side's methods at all.
