Jiang Qiao's pupils contracted.
He realized that absolute silence had fallen over his surroundings.
Before he could react, the scene around him began to dissipate in the next second.
The oil lamps embedded in the rock walls—
their green light suddenly went out.
Then, the rock walls themselves faded like a painting, growing paler and more transparent layer by layer until they vanished completely.
He abruptly lowered his head.
There was no longer anything beneath his feet to support him.
The protruding stone he had been standing on had completely disappeared. The vast space below had vanished with it.
Everything around him
had been replaced by emptiness.
There was nothing left.
It was completely empty.
"What's going on?"
"An illusion caused by supernatural influence?"
"Or have I been sent into some special Supernatural Space?"
Jiang Qiao found himself floating in the void. Everything seemed to have lost its sense of existence here.
This feeling
was not entirely unfamiliar to him.
Having once faced true nothingness, he sensed a faint trace of familiarity in the scene before him.
He narrowed his eyes.
He did not panic.
Instead, he suddenly looked up at the enormous heart.
With everything above, below, left, and right turned into empty nothingness, the heart seemed embedded within the void. It still hung overhead, and it had not changed much.
It was still pitch-black, rotten, and covered in twisted black blood vessels.
It gave off a nauseating stench.
There was no sound of a heartbeat, yet Jiang Qiao could see it contracting and expanding.
And with every beat, the surroundings resembled clear water stained with a drop of black ink.
No visible changes could be seen, yet he could clearly sense that something was different from before.
