"Oh."
"Here comes a big one."
Jiang Qiao turned his head, his gaze piercing the vast distance to reach that abandoned beach. He also saw the figure emerging from the abandoned Sea God Temple.
"Is that thing the so-called Sea God?"
"Why does it look so shabby?"
He stared at the figure, curiosity showing on his face.
The figure wore a burial shroud, layers of grayish-black cloth wrapped around it, stained with dried blood and dirt. Its entire body was bundled up tightly.
Thick iron chains were wound around the shroud as well.
The Rusty Iron Chain bound it in coil after coil, enough to describe it as trussed up from head to toe.
As though someone feared it might escape.
Even though it had already left the temple.
Clatter!
Clatter!
Its chains rattled as the figure emerged from the Sea God Temple and walked step by step toward the harbor.
Its movements were slow.
Every step gave the impression of someone trudging under a heavy burden.
Perhaps the chains were too heavy, or perhaps its joints were too stiff to straighten.
But...
After it had taken a few steps.
Something utterly incongruous happened.
It abruptly vanished from where it stood. When it reappeared, it was already on the beach outside the docks.
It raised its shroud-covered head slightly.
Looking at the raging seawater that had submerged the docks, it gave a slight nod, seemingly quite satisfied.
Then.
It extended a hand, revealing severely rotten fingers.
And gently waved toward the sea.
In an instant.
The winds rose and the clouds churned!
The swirling black clouds had already completely engulfed the sky over Spring City and the surrounding waters.
At their center.
Within the storm's eye in the clouds.
A violently contorted column of black cloud immediately came crashing down.
