Every building in the city had sprouted roots and stood up on them. But standing up wasn't enough. The damn things had actually started walking.
They crawled along on those densely packed roots like centipedes.
A single glance was enough to send chills down anyone's spine.
But there was good news: it was pitch-black everywhere, so most people couldn't see what they looked like, only vague outlines.
There was bad news, too.
Since they could only see vague outlines, they wouldn't even know what killed them.
Everything had its pros and cons, apparently.
The blind had their disadvantages, the deaf had their sorrows, and people with all their senses had their suffering.
For instance, as these buildings walked along the streets, they collided with one another. Some collapsed outright, while others grew more vigorous with every step. The survivors inside let out agonized screams.
Then they were twisted into clouds of bloody mist.
The blind couldn't see, but they could hear the sounds. The deaf couldn't hear the sounds, but they could see the outlines.
People with all their senses could both hear the sounds and see the outlines.
It was pretty miserable.

People watched in horror as the buildings wandered around outside, utterly unable to understand why this was happening.
It was beyond anything they knew.
It overturned their entire worldview.
They could understand Vicious Ghosts, those vines, and a supernatural lockdown of the city, but what the hell was going on with cold, lifeless buildings coming alive?
To them, this was neither scientific nor supernatural.
"Our hotel isn't going to come alive too, is it?" someone asked anxiously.
No one answered.
Because everyone was worried about the same thing.
