Lama was gone!
Pita was startled. He hurriedly looked around and soon spotted Lama heading for the dock entrance.
"Hey!"
"Lama, where do you think you're going?"
Pita rushed over with his men and surrounded the two of them.
"What do you want?"
Lama's voice was low.
"Nothing much."
"We've got a big client coming to the dock, and we're short on hands. We'd like you to stay and help, Lama."
Pita spoke with a sinister smile.
There was no way he could let Lama leave.
The robbery had failed.
He was back to having only seven or eight men and seven or eight guns.
If he let Lama walk away, the man might return with more people and more weapons to take revenge.
In a straight fight,
Pita was still no match for Lama.
He had only caught him off guard today.
Besides,
the Heaven-Bearing Society was about to dock. What if Lama ran out later and told them Pita had tried to rob them? That was no laughing matter.
Someone would die!
So...
A vicious glint flashed in Pita's eyes. He had decided to kill.
"Pita."
"Don't push me too far!"
Lama's voice shook with anger.
"Come on, Lama. I've always respected you. Take him to that room to rest for a while." Pita grinned.
He pointed to a room in a corner of the dock.
"You dare!"
"What are you doing?!"
Lama's men went pale, sensing trouble.
Before they could resist, seven or eight gun barrels were pressed against their heads.
"Stay still."
"Or we'll kill you!"
Pita grinned.
"Pita, you've broken the rules. One day you'll pay for this!" Lama snapped.
"That's a problem for another day."
"Take them away!"
Pita waved a hand.
His men immediately shoved and dragged Lama's group toward the small room.
