After the Land of Rain displayed the bodies of Kumogakure’s scouts in the village, Raikage A decided to confront it despite Mabui’s warnings. He and Killer B were transported to the Land of Rain’s border, leaving their next move unresolved.

• Ōnoki told Kitsuchi that Iwagakure would wait for Kumogakure to probe the Land of Rain before deciding how to respond.
• Raikage A found the bodies of Kumogakure’s scouts hanging outside the Raikage Building and ordered Mabui to prepare for war.
• Mabui warned A that acting without intelligence could endanger Kumogakure, but he refused to accept the insult passively.

He led an elite squad toward the border between the Land of Wind and the Land of Rivers, leaving Chiyo in charge of the village.

• Rasa captured Hyde and destroyed his organization after learning that Gelel Stone could grant powerful abilities and make plants grow in the desert.
• Rasa confirmed that the Book of Gelel had helped the Anbu locate an ore vein near the border between the Land of Wind and the Land of Rivers.

• Naruto and Minato Namikaze spotted Rasa’s group from above, and Naruto revealed his overwhelming Chakra to stop them.
• Naruto demanded that Rasa pledge Sunagakure’s loyalty to his plan for a new world, but Rasa refused.
