Then, through shifts in Karma, he performed a ritual that caused the insect to die horribly and turn into a Demon Specter.
Using the Demon Specter as a medium, he invaded another person's Sea of Consciousness.
This was a sinister Left Path art: the user divided his spiritual consciousness and remotely transformed a demon insect serving as a Material Medium, planting a curse in someone else to devour or enslave their Sea of Consciousness.
It was an extraordinarily advanced form of Thaumaturgy, a method that could be used only after cultivating the Left Path to the realm of divine communion.
In all his years of cultivation, Wang Liangzi had personally seen no more than a handful of Left Path masters capable of Soul Splitting.
