Mo Shan smiled and nodded. "That's right."
"Are monster beasts hard to deal with?"
"They really are. Monster beasts have dense vitality and thick hides. It takes five or six cultivators of the same realm to possibly hunt one down. To be safe, it's best to have eight or nine."
After thinking for a moment, Bai Zisheng asked, "Then what do you think—could someone like me kill a monster beast alone?"
"On your own... Killing a monster beast is out of the question. Getting killed is more like it."
Mo Hua silently remarked as he gnawed on a chicken leg.
Unconvinced, Bai Zisheng lightly glared at him.
Mo Shan chuckled. "Not yet. Once your cultivation is higher, you should have great potential."
Bai Zisheng was greatly encouraged.
"Dad, lying is wrong," Mo Hua said.
Still unconvinced, Bai Zisheng said, "Uncle Mo is a Monster Hunter. He definitely knows more than you."
He had asked Mo Hua before whether he could hunt a monster beast by himself.
Mo Hua had said no, and Bai Zisheng had been somewhat unconvinced. But Mo Hua had fought monster beasts before while he had not, so Mo Hua's words carried at least some credibility.
But now Uncle Mo said he had great potential. Perhaps he really would be able to hunt a monster beast alone someday.
After all, Uncle Mo was a genuine Monster Hunter, while Mo Hua was merely a Little Array Master who could only trick monster beasts to death through Array Techniques.
Mo Shan added, "Even if you really can kill a monster beast alone, it's still best to find some companions so you can watch each other's backs. Monster beasts are exceedingly cunning."
Bai Zisheng nodded. "Don't worry, Uncle Mo. I know what I'm doing."
He often listened to Mo Hua
