Chapter 241: Encountering Danger
Yu Chengwu escorted the two black-clad cultivators to Elder Yu, locked them in a sealed room, and tortured them for answers, to see if he could pry anything out of them.
Mo Hua was curious as well, so he followed along to watch the show.
Yu Chengwu questioned them inside while Mo Hua and Elder Yu sat outside drinking tea.
Before long, the screams from the room stopped. Yu Chengwu came out with a little blood on him—not his own—and a thoughtful expression on his face.
Mo Hua's eyes lit up. "Did you get anything out of them?"
Yu Chengwu glanced at Mo Hua, clearly not wanting to answer.
Elder Yu said mildly, "Speak."
After thinking for a moment, Yu Chengwu said:
"The two of them confessed. They're Sinful Cultivators."
"Sinful Cultivators?" Mo Hua was slightly startled.
Elder Yu explained, "Cultivators who violate Dao Court laws, commit grave crimes, and are wanted by the Dao Court Office."
"What crimes did they commit?" Mo Hua asked curiously.
Yu Chengwu shook his head. "They wouldn't say. Their crimes are probably serious. Telling me would mean death anyway, so I didn't press them. After all, we aren't the Dao Court Office. It isn't our business."
"Anything else?" Elder Yu asked.
"Yes." Yu Chengwu nodded. "According to them, there are more than twenty people in their group. Most are Sinful Cultivators who committed crimes and are wanted by the Dao Court Office. With no road ahead and no way back, they gathered together, killing people and plundering goods to earn some Spirit Stones."
Elder Yu snorted coldly. "A pack of beasts."
"What should we do, then?" Mo Hua asked.
"First, send these two scum to the Dao Court Office. If they truly are wanted, we can collect some reward money.
