Though that was what he said, with the facts laid out before him, Commander Yang believed it. He had no choice but to believe it.

Because Mo Hua had already begun explaining the array techniques on Black Mountain Stronghold's topographical map to him.

Which parts of the stronghold had which arrays drawn upon them, what each array was used for, what would happen if they forcibly broke an array, and what would happen if they did not break it.

He also explained the logic behind the entire Black Mountain Stronghold array layout—which arrays were strong, which were weak, and which route would be best if they attacked.

Where there were hidden gates and escape routes that needed to be sealed in advance, lest the Evil Cultivators flee...

The more Commander Yang heard, the more stunned he became.

Such attainments in array techniques had completely surpassed his understanding. Let alone comprehending many of the principles behind the arrays, even grasping a rough outline of them took effort.

The last time he had felt this way was back in clan school, when he had scratched his head and tugged at his ears while learning array techniques from the array instructor.

Commander Yang secretly glanced at Zhang Lan.

Mo Hua, however, hesitated. He had promised Black Mountain Stronghold that he would not enter the Deep Mountain.

"Isn't that what Dao Soldiers are for?" Mo Hua asked.

Commander Yang's attitude toward Mo Hua gradually became much more respectful.

Mo Hua nodded. "Alright, then let's go take a look at Mist Forest."

Commander Yang silently looked down on Zhang Lan, then focused completely as he listened to Mo Hua explain arrays in that clear, youthful voice.

And in Mo Hua's perception, among the Dao Soldiers, only Commander Yang was a Foundation Establishment Realm cultivator.
