Bai Zisheng and Bai Zixi listened to Mo Hua's words, then witnessed firsthand the hardships of the Mine Cultivators. Both of them frowned and fell somewhat silent.
The atmosphere grew somber for a moment.
Mo Hua thought for a moment, then suddenly pointed north and said:
"Let's go to the forest over there first."
Bai Zisheng asked in astonishment, "What are we going to the forest for?"
Mo Hua said, "Didn't you want to eat wild boar? There's one there. We'll catch it and bring it back for you to eat."
Bai Zisheng froze, then was overjoyed. He could not help patting Mo Hua on the shoulder.
"Just as expected of my good Junior Martial Brother!"
Bai Zixi smiled faintly as well.
The three went into the forest and caught a wild boar.
A Late First-Grade wild boar was no match for the three of them at all.
After catching the pig, Mo Hua took it back and followed the method his mother had taught him. He removed the gamey stench, washed away the blood, added pungent seasonings, then set it to stew in a pot.
The meat was tough and chewy, so it needed to be stewed for quite a long time.
It took a full day before the fragrance finally spread through the air.
After slicing it up, Mo Hua arranged it on dishes and carried it over for Instructor Yan and Mr. Zhuang to have with their wine.
Instructor Yan was temporarily staying in the Cave Abode as well.
Whenever he had time, he would visit Mr. Zhuang.
The two sat in the courtyard, enjoying the breeze, drinking wine, eating meat, and talking about the Little Spirit Hidden Sect's past, as well as the rise and fall of the Great Spirit Hidden Sect behind it.
