But it was easy to go from frugality to luxury, and hard to go from luxury back to frugality. After enjoying that near-mad rate of absorbing experience, Brando was dissatisfied with this "snail's pace" of gaining one point every second.

He was even somewhat puzzled. The magic nurtured within the Lightning Storm was so abundant that it should at least have been equal to the tremendous energy it released, existing at the same Energy Level. Yet the experience he absorbed was far less than that. Though the experience notifications had flooded his vision almost madly earlier, that was only relative to the speed.

In terms of total quantity, the power he had absorbed was not even a quarter of the experience required to advance from the Law Peak to the Extreme Realm. Yet every bolt of lightning released at least as much energy as a Sage's full-power strike, and there had been no fewer than a thousand bolts nurtured within the storm. The gap between them was
