The lost fragments had retained their original form, and thus still maintained their connection to that eternal, indestructible object.

Brando sat atop the shattered glacier. The Heart of Xifah had restored him to his original condition, so he was now even better off than when he had been trekking across the snowfield. He could confirm that this place was still within the trial world, but beneath the glacier there was none of the bone-chilling wind from outside. Although the temperature was still extremely low, he was in no hurry.
